Manchester City’s run in the UEFA Champions League came to an end on Wednesday, May 4th, after they lost 1 – 0 on aggregate to Real Madrid. While it was disappointing to lose when they were just one match away from the finals of the most prestigious club football competition in the world, one can confidently say that the Blues of Manchester bowed out gallantly. Not only were they the only English team that made it to the semi-finals, they also held 10-time UCL champions Real Madrid to a nil-nil draw at home, after routing Ibrahimovic’s Paris Saint Germain in the Quarter final.

In the domestic league, the 2015/2016 season has sprung up a lot of surprises, the biggest being the newly crowned champions, Leicester, who went against odds of 5000 to win the Premier League title. But Manchester City has held its own in the top four, edging out heavyweights like Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Ironically, only a few years ago, Manchester City was called the ‘noisy neighbors’ of Manchester United. But in England, and Europe today, they are a force to reckon with, as far as football is concerned. Whenever they fall, they keep their cool, and get back up. Whenever they lose a match, they go back to the drawing board, and ensure they win their next match.

Over the years, Premier Cool Deo has inspired a wave of coolness, freshness and confidence in young Nigerian men who are making a positive difference in their chosen fields. These young men have been made to understand that to #BeAPlayer, to excel, to be at the top of their game, one must, like Manchester City, be fresh but dogged, cool but confident, calm but determined.
As the 2015/2016 football season comes to an end, Man City is already prepared for the 2016/2017 season, as they have announced Pep Guardiola, former Barca and current Bayern Munich coach as their new coach. The football genius would be coming in to further strengthen the Manchester City team and inject freshness into the already cool and confident team. We are looking forward to the season, and all the trophies we’ll be winning with our official partners Manchester City Football Club. Join us. Be cool, be fresh, be confident, #BeAPlayer!
