2017 promises to be a terrific movie year. Whatever your theatrical preferences are, there’s something for you in the year. You can either anticipate the return of your favourite movie trilogy, series, Tv show, or just a new movie. Because we love our tv like you do, we’ve put together a list of superb movies you should definitely watch in 2017. Just keep reading:
January: Hidden Figures
Cookie (Taraji P Hansen) is at it again. This time she plays Dorothy, alongside Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae as the brain behind the launch of astronaut John Glenn. The comedy-drama will be hitting Nigerian cinemas this month.
Feb: Fifty Shades Darker
In this second part of the Fifty shades collection, which was originally a book, a hurt Christian Grey tries to get a more careful Anastacia back into his life. But her conditions include a new agreement before she gives him another chance. As the pair start to grow trust, they become haunted by fragments of Christian’s past.
March: The Last Word
In this comedy drama, we see a control freak business woman (Shirley MacLaine), write her own life story so it’s told her way. She later became friends with a young writer at a Local Newspaper. The writer who is Amanda Seyfried takes up the task of finding out the truth about Shirley’s character.
May: Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2 The dinner
You’ve probably seen the first volume already. So, the second part is a continuation of the team’s adventure to find Peter Quill’s parentage.
June: Cars 3
Remember this animated family adventure of racing cars? Well, this is the 3rd film of the series. This time, Lightning McQueen is losing place in his favourite sport because newer guys are getting in. To get back in the race, he needs the help of a young race technician.
June: Transformers: The Last Knight
All hail the Transformers! The first trilogy has ended, and this is the start of a new trilogy. This time, the story follows the life Cade Yeager an inventor and single father who helped the robots in the last part.
June: Despicable Me 3
This is a continuation of the story of Gru, Lucy, their lovely daughters and the minions. Prepare your mind for really good animated entertainment that the whole family can enjoy
July: Spider Man- Homecoming
The young Peter Parker returns home to live with his aunt. He tries to resume his usual life as a friendly neighbourhood spider-man. The return of the vulture turns everything around.
August: The Hitman’s Bodyguard
This is an action comedy which tells the story of the world’s best bodyguard/protection agent and his notorious client.
November 17: Justice League
This is another really good one guys. Batman and wonder woman unite and recruit a new team of meta-humans to fight a greater enemy. Update your reminder guys, it would totally be worth it.
